Square Mile Investment Consulting & Research has suspended the A rating on the Standard Life Investments Global Index Linked Bond fund because of some changes to the management team. Jonathan Gibbs, who has managed the fund since its launch in 2004, will be moving over to manage the Ignis Absolute Return Government Bond fund following the acquisition of Ignis by Standard Life Investments in July 2014. After a suitable transition period of several months, the management of the Global Index Linked Bond fund will transfer to two senior members of the existing team, Katy Forbes and Adam Skerry. Ms Forbes is currently named as the deputy manager on the fund whilst Mr Skerry is the named joint co-manager for the Short Duration Global Index Linked Bond fund. Both are experienced investors, with 12 and 16 years' experience respectively. They will continue to be supported by Tom Walker, an investment analyst with 2 years of experience.

The fund's rating will be suspended until Square Mile undertakes a full review of the new management team.
