Square Mile Investment Consulting & Research today confirms it has added two funds from SYZ Asset Management's Oyster range to its Academy of Funds. The Oyster European Selection and Oyster Continental European Selection funds have both been awarded an A rating.

The Academy of Funds is a dedicated section within Square Mile's website, where advisers can access analysis on all recommended funds. Each fund carries a rating - A, AA, AAA, R or P+ - as a mark of quality and a reflection of the level of conviction Square Mile's team of analysts has in a fund's ability to deliver on expectations.

Commenting on the Oyster European Selection and Continental European Selection funds, Amaya Assan, Senior Investment Research Analyst at Square Mile, said:

 

"We are pleased to introduce the Oyster European Selection and Oyster Continental European Selection funds to Square Mile's Academy of Funds. Both funds are managed along identical lines in terms of investment philosophy and process; the difference is that Oyster European Selection is a pan European portfolio whilst the Oyster Continental European Selection fund invests in Europe but excludes the UK. 

These highly attractive strategies are aimed at investors who are looking for concentrated European vehicles to sit alongside their core holdings. There is a strong quality mantra underpinning the propositions but pleasingly this is coupled with a strong focus on buying these companies cheaply.  The funds are managed by Michael Clements, who joined SYZ Asset Management in September 2014 from Franklin Templeton Investments, where he had been responsible for investing in high alpha European strategies.  The two funds will have an A Rating based on our strong conviction in the manager's investment expertise."
