Key take aways from our annual conference

21 Oct, 2021 | Return|

We were delighted to host our annual Investment Conference last month, and hope that those who joined us had an enjoyable and insightful day.

During the event, we heard from a number of experts from across the industry on a range of themes, from the future of sustainability to the outlook for global markets. Listen to some of the key take aways from the day’s panels, presentations and discussion below.

Sustainability focused

"There is still a huge amount of interest in sustainable investment, but there is still a lack of clarity about the different flavours of sustainable investment out there."

Featuring The Investment Association, Simmons & Simmons, BMO Global Asset Management, Liontrust, AXA IM, Natixis, Ninety One and Fidelity.

A macro outlook

"The key message is one of relative optimism, once we get through the soft patch this year, we could see quite strong growth next year and relatively good market performance."

Featuring BNY Mellon, Jupiter Asset Management, Franklin Templeton, Schroders and T. Rowe Price.

A focus on fixed income

"The three big global disinflationary trends: people living longer, technological improvements and globalisation means that we don’t need to panic about inflation just yet."

Featuring M&G Investments, Aegon Asset Management and Blackrock.
