The Big Question: ESG, fad or future?

01 Sep, 2020 | Return|

Introducing The Big Question - a new series of videos aiming to answer some of the burning questions of the moment with experts from across the investment industry.

There is no escape from ESG and responsible investment as they continue to battle their way into the mainstream. In particular, the ongoing Covid crisis appears to have accelerated the shift towards these trends, as investors seek to ensure their investments are having a positive impact on the world.

In the first of the series, Square Mile's Senior Investment Consultant, Jake Moeller, is talking all things ESG and responsible investing with Veronique Chapplow, Investment Director at M&G, and Ned Salter, Head of Equity at Fidelity International. In this video, they explore the drivers behind these accelerating trends, how they are evidencing the impact of integrating ESG criteria and incorporating responsible investing into their approaches, as well as what success in this area looks like to them.

As this topic is ever-growing, there was a lot to cover in our discussion with Veronique and Ned. Using the Chapter Icon icon on the player below, you will be able to easily navigate through the questions that were covered throughout the video.
