Reasons to be cheerful?

16 Jan, 2023 | Return|

2022 was a year that can be described by turbulence, both in markets and the wider world. Though we can all agree on the pain endured last year, the outlook for 2023 remains more mixed with some more cautious managers believing we are yet to see the bottom, whilst others appear to have a more positive view on the year ahead.

In this episode of the Talking Research podcast, our team of analysts share insight from the managers that they met with in the last quarter of 2022, offering views from across the market:

  • Are there opportunities in the UK market given the dispersion in returns seen in 2022?
  • Should we be excited about fixed income again?
  • Against the market backdrop, how have multi-asset managers changed their asset allocations?

Square Mile's Strategic Relationship Director, Jock Glover, speaks with John Monaghan, Research Director, Eduardo Sanchez, Associate Research Director - Fixed Income, Alternatives & Multi-Asset, and Alex Farlow, Head of Multi Asset Research, in January's episode of Talking Research.
