Consumer Duty: Roles, responsibilities and next steps

20 January, 2023

Consumer Duty has the potential to be one of the biggest shake ups the financial services industry has seen. At its core is a focus on delivering and evidencing good outcomes for retail customers, and this will become integral to the FCA's processes, including authorisation, supervision, policy and enforcement.

With the deadline for full implementation of Consumer Duty for all open and new business in the not too distance future, we were joined by Threesixty's Head of Discretionary Management, Vanessa Johnson to discuss Consumer Duty through the lens of a financial adviser working with a DFM. In this webinar, Vanessa outlines:

  • The four outcomes of Consumer Duty and what they mean for adviser firms.

  • The roles of manufacturers, distributors and co-manufacturers, and their respective responsibilities and obligations under Consumer Duty.

  • Implications of Consumer Duty for adviser firms and DFMs.
