Square Mile Investment Consulting and Research hosted its annual charity quiz night last night raising £14,474.50 for four charities. Staged at The Gable on Moorgate, a cross spectrum of asset management groups and financial services businesses fronted 30 tables, each paying £300. This raised £10,668.61 which will go directly to Breast Cancer Now.

Further funds were raised by a raffle and auction of prizes donated by those attending, the proceeds of which will be shared among charities nominated by the top three teams. Jupiter were the winners with Great Ormond Street being their chosen charity. Investec and Henderson came in at second and third place nominating Tusk and Macmillan respectively. Each of these charities will receive £1,268.63.

Richard Romer-Lee, Square Mile's managing director said, "Competition is always hot in the City: last night was no exception as some of the leading minds in the Square Mile battled it out to be crowned kings and queens of trivia. The real winners of the evening though were the four charities which will benefit from the generosity of the guests and the donors of the prizes."
