WS Montanaro Better World – Rating Retained
Following the news, at the end of July 2024, that Adam Montanaro has been appointed co-portfolio manager, we have completed our formal review. We believe the reintroduction of a co-PM structure is positive for the fund’s management as it ensures a level of continuity for any future succession planning. Mr Montanaro works alongside the incumbent portfolio manager, Mark Rogers, who became sole manager on this fund in September 2023 following Charles Montanaro, Founder and PM at Montanaro Asset Management, departing from the strategy. Mr Rogers has been managing this strategy since its inception in 2018 and has also recently relinquished his Head of Investment Team role to focus solely on investment management.
We have decided that these moves are prudent and therefore have decided to retain our Responsible A rating on the Montanaro Better World fund.
