The Journey from ESG to Impact

09 Mar, 2021 | Return|

In our recent event, The Journey from ESG to Impact, we were delighted to be joined by Jamie Broderick, Director of the Impact Investing Institute. During the session, Jamie is speaking with Square Mile’s Managing Director, Richard Romer-Lee, on where next for impact investing.

Impact investing can be defined as investments made with the intention to generate positive, measurable social and environmental impact, alongside a financial return. During the interview, Jamie references where impact investing fits within the wider Spectrum of Capital, which can be found here.

Whilst still embryonic in the retail space, impact investing is beginning to gain traction, so in this session we aim to answer some of the key questions surrounding this style of investing. Beyond outlining what impact investing is and why it is important, Jamie and Richard explore how advisers and investors can access this area of investment, the industries which are more prevalent in this space and what to expect from impact investing.

Please use the chapter icon, in the top right hand corner of the audio below, to navigate through the discussion.
